#19 FEAR NOT...

These strengthening and empowering Words were being personally directed to Joshua the newly inaugurated leader of the Israelites at the time Moses was making his handover speech, being 120 years he knew he was exiting life. Moses had generally addressed everyone including their succeeding leader, in verse 6. Today, these words speak to all of us as individuals in whatever capacity we are experiencing or about to interface with a new phase of life’s journey as a leader being handed the batten of leadership, as a follower about to be led by a new leader, or you as an individual meeting taking up a responsibility you are nervous about. Are you being promoted but gripped by a mixed feeling of joy and uncertainty?

You are being strengthened encouraged and empowered today through the lines of these Words – that the LORD Himself will lead through in righteousness, He will be with you to give you wisdom knowledge, and understanding. He will not fail to equip you with the resources you need to achieve success. Fear Not, but only work with Him in that path of righteousness, acknowledge what is right and good, and shun what is bad and evil. Follow His instructions as stipulated in the Holy Book in all obedience and reverence, and then His mighty hands which work wonders give victory. Fear Not.

#18 FEAR NOT... This Day!

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you; He will not leave you, nor forsake you.” Deut. 31:6

In these Words of the LORD, we are being called to embrace courage and brevity, not of our own abilities and resources, but for the reason that we know God is with us. By putting our trust in Him, we are sure to face obstacles, oppositions, and stumbling blocks with confidence, knowing that God is working for our good in all righteousness. This day, Fear Not and be of good courage, God is with you.

#17 FEAR NOT

As God's people we are encouraged to have confidence in the battles that lay before us in our journey of life, the battles that tend to oppose our focus on eternity, knowing that God is on our side. However, this doesn’t mean that we should be half-hearted or inefficient in the way we plan to fight.

Isaiah had received instruction from God to find King Ahaz at a critical moment in Judah's history (Isaiah 7:3). The allied Syrian armies and Israel had come to attack Judah. In the battles, they had already destroyed tens of thousands of Ahaz's people. King Ahaz and his people were terrified of the battle coming to them. Isaiah used these words to strengthen King Ahaz (Deuteronomy 7:4): “fear not, neither be faint-hearted.”

Have you lost it in the past while finding a safe place for yourself? Are you presently anxious about failing or losing a battle? Are you facing a threat from enemies around? Have you lost all courage and strength to battle that giant approaching your way?
Faint not your heart or be afraid; don’t be terrified, or give way to panic before them. Move in the strength of the almighty God. For the LORD your God is with you and goes with you to fight and defeat your giants, destroy the enemies to give you victory.

#16 FEAR NOT...

Don’t be afraid of whatsoever in its form, be it circumstances unbeatable, situations, premonitions, humans or demons, posing as fear and trepidation, causing you nervousness, anxiety, worry, or threat. The LORD your God will fight for you, to give you victory, restful living, and peace of mind. Today, these Words of assurance from God are speaking to you and I directly. May me draw strength and courage from these promises of God, as we live to defeat those giants in our lives.

#15 FEAR NOT

Once again, we are being encouraged and strengthened by the Word of the LORD today, to face our fears this day no matter their shapes and vigor, with the might of victory as the LORD has always fought and won our battles in the past. He never sleeps, and He never slumbers, (Psalm 121:4). He is our strength when we are weak and overtaken by doubts and discouragement. He is God who won the battles for the Israelites in Numbers 21:34; God had won the battles for them twice and severally. He will win your battle twice and countlessly. Moses tells us; “He is your praise; He is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes”. (Deuteronomy 10:21).

Only remain faithful and abide in His WORD. Today, FEAR NOT.

#14 FEAR NOT...

God's desire for us had been that we possess what He had promised us. But regrettably, this contemporary of doubts and spiritual complacency wouldn't, because of unbelief. Everyone is given a promised land to possess, you ask, what could be my promised land? It is that calling God had impressed in you as your passion, strength, potential, and yearnings. Call it special talents, gifts, capabilities, relevance, initiatives to cause a change in your world, power of innovations, your creative powers. God has put in every child of His, these qualities and virtues for a purpose in life, to make a spiritual difference, and to represent Him in the world as light bearers. Our ‘Promised Land’, is that special place in our lives and world, where we’ve been given to flourish and draw men to God.

Sadly, the scary giants that come against us have been the ones inside of us. These are the fears that will keep us from entering our promised land. Anxiety, Doubt, Fear, Laziness, discouragement, Complacency, Faintheartedness, Selfishness, Pride. However, God has promised to drive out Israel’s giants of enemies, He will “drive out” ours when we are faithfully, and purposefully obedient to Him.

Another challenge is that we want things to be comfortable and easy; unfortunately, they’re not. Possessing our land is the whole experience of being in this world and finding ourselves a safe place. Truth is, no one ever said the quest of possessing our ‘Promised Land’ was going to be easy. Jesus asserts to us through John “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. (John 16:33). It is human to be afraid, but it is not okay to give in to fears. God has promised to be with us on the journey (Exodus 23: 20-33). FEAR NOT.

#13 FEAR NOT...

Sometimes, there are battles that you never wanted, but they come to you to try your faith and innocence, such battles call for your brevity and defense, to employ confidence instead of fear. Moses with his people (Israelites), requested a peaceful passage through the territory of the Amorites, pledging to king their commitment to keeping their cattle (Israelite cattle) on the right path so that they don’t via into their vineyards. But King Sihon of the Amorites would not permit the people of Israel to pass through his territory but rather decided to attack the Israelites. The Israelites killed many of the enemy in the battle. God was with them. So, when it was time to face King Og of Bashan, on another surd, they were encouraged by God not to fear but to defeat as they did to the Amorites. Their victory in the battle with King Sihon became strength, motivation, and empowerment for every other challenge coming their way.

Have you been delivered from your past fears and dreaded moments, the same God who won the battle for you is saying to you today about these recurring fears, challenges, storms, discouraging times, and very toxic moments you are facing now, that you can defeat in the name of the LORD. Stand and fight in the name of the Lord, you have nothing to fear, God has delivered all your fears and enemies into your hands. Only put your trust in God, He will surely grant you victory. FEAR NOT.

It’s the 10th Day of the 10 days of Prayer

Have you been with the LORD in these 10 days of Prayer? Be sure to have testimonies in your life as being part of this Spiritual experience with God in the 10 days of communing and fellowshipping with our Father and God. We have come thus far with the LORD in seeking from the LORD Faith, Revival, Renewal, Strength, Wisdom, Direction, Power and Confidence to face the year. We believe that our hearts and lives shall receive a transformation from God unto eternal salvation. The Significance of spending these 10 days with God in this January is to be conscious of God’s sovereignty in our world and individual life as the author and finisher of our essence. It is to recognize God as the reason for your living, so, as you kick-start this year, you are kick-starting with allegiance to God and honouring Him as the first in your decisions and wills. He should take total preeminence in all your endeavors. Say “Thank you LORD!”

Fear can take a toll on us, creating so much anxiety and doubt. it is capable of clouding our sense of reasoning and brevity, making us lose confidence. Fear can disrupt our faith in God, thereby yielding to doubt and unbelief. The Israelites were gripped with so much fear on hearing of the giants in the Land of Cannan, such that they had to propose a silly adventure of going back to Egypt to die, instead of trusting in God who has shown them so many miracles and evidence of His love towards them. But the word of God through Moses has come to us; “neither fear ye the people…for they are bread for us”. He that is with God is with many and can defeat giants of fear in all our circumstances. Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37) if only we confidently and sincerely call to Him. All things are possible to those who believe (Mark 9:23). Fear Not.

#10 FEAR NOT... This Wednesday

There are times when we perceive situations that make us tremble and shiver, and often, it could be our ecological destructions such as earthquakes, tornados, cyclones, twisters, whirlwinds, hurricanes, and slides. It looks quite unpleasant and frightening to behold the scenes because the lives and properties of our fellow humans are destroyed. The Israelites on Mount Sinai felt the same when God spoke from the mountain as He wrote the Ten Commandments on the tablet of stone, the people trembled and were frightened, then they said to Moses “Speak to us and we’ll hear, let not God speak to us lest we die, but Moses said to them “Fear not…God is testing you…” also to show you why you must reverence Him. You will not be consumed in the storms and quakes of your life because they are to remind us to fear (reverence and respect) Him as the sovereign God of the Universe, He does not intend to consume us but to remind us to keep His commands in faithfulness and reverence. Fear Not.

#9 FEAR NOT… This Tuesday

It doesn’t matter how close and frightening our fears and dreaded moments are to us, God is never late to our rescue. The Israelites, while exiting Egypt were caught up between the impermeable ocean right in front of them and the most dreaded Egyptian army closing in behind them, as they cried out to Moses helplessly, he said to them, ‘Fear Not’. We sure have a God who fights our battles, who simply tells us to be still and know that He is God, trusting Him all the time. God is not far away from us, He is closer than we can imagine, He is always there to rescue, just as He came to the rescue of the Israelites through a miraculous pathing of the sea. He can and will make your fears go away in Jesus' name.

#8 FEAR NOT... This Monday

Just as Joseph said these words to his brothers, reassuring them of his desire to take care of them and their families despite their adversities. The WORD of God has come to us today, assuring us of His providential power over us and our families, therefore, Fear Not. “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? (Matthew 6:25-34). Today as you go about your business, seeking to make ends meet, God’s WORD shall be made manifest in all your endeavors in Jesus' name.

It is human to feel guilty of our evil deeds against our fellow men such as to expect what is deserving of us. The brothers of Joseph still felt a strong guilt in their hearts, thinking that Joseph’s forgiveness was on a temporal basis because of the presence of their father. The guilt and fear rekindled in them as Jacob (their father) died. However, God who moves in the hearts of men can cause men to act according to His dictates. Joseph assured them not to fear because he is not God, in essence implying that vengeance is God's prerogative (Romans 12:19; Hebrews 10:30). Joseph’s heart was taken over by the Holy Spirit. You see, that which we fear can be taken away by God. All we need do is sincerely repent of our ungodly deeds, seek reconciliation from fellow men, and pray for God’s forgiveness, fear not of guilt but faith in God.

God’s Promise for You

FEAR NOT... This Saturday

Egypt happens to be the land of foreign gods, idolatry and all sorts of perverseness and ungodliness, Jacob was aware and knew that He had no business with such a nation. However, as a matter of survival, Jacob had to send his children to Egypt to buy food so they could live and not die (Genesis 42:1) because there was famine and drought in the Land of Canaan. As the story will have it, life happened in the quest for survival and Jacob received a royal invitation to come to Egypt. It was a mixed feeling of Joy (Because Joseph his dearly beloved is alive and flourishing) and restraint. Yes! Restraint because Jacob shouldn’t be in Egypt, God told him to stay in Egypt where He would establish him. But God Spoke to him, “Fear Not”, “I will go down to Egypt with you”. Are you in this situation of venturing into territories you feel retrained in your mind, are you in a dilemma, have you been posted to a foreign land, a notorious land, a dreaded land, or a place with a discouraging history, for service to God and humanity?

Jacob prayed to God to inquire about his fate. Have you prayed to God? If Yes, the same God that spoke to Jacob in the
night vision, will surely go with you and establish you beyond your imagination. ‘FEAR NOT’.

#5 FEAR NOT... This Fridsay

It was at the time when the sons of Jacob had returned to Egypt to purchase food, but they were received in the royal residence of Joseph. This was strange with fear of another entrapment akin to their first journey experience in the same arena, anxiety, fear and unease engulfed the totality of their mind. Could it be because of the money found in our bags? they questioned each other. But the steward of Joseph said to them “Fear Not” Indeed, it was God redesigning the story, It was God preparing their table of royal comfort. Amid the confusion, anxiety, fear of the unknown, self-blame and guilt. God shall give you a royal Peace, a turnaround, a celebration. FEAR NOT.
